It all began while I was decorating for Christmas this year. . .with the simple hanging of a old wooden plaque on the front door. . . three little letters, carved and painted, one BIG impact on my heart. . .J-O-Y!
For many of us, the Holidays can be stressful. . .sadness, loneliness and frustration can creep in without warning.
Memories of Christmases past. . . of loved ones who are no longer with us. . .of family and friends who are separated by miles of long and winding road, but not from our thoughts. . .even during those moments, we can CHOOSE Joy.
As we shop for those special gifts . . . as we wrap the presents and tie the bows, we have a choice. . .we can CHOOSE Joy!
Baking our favorite cakes and cookies, pies and fudge. . .as we travel to spend precious time with family and friends, we can CHOOSE Joy!
" I have Joy, Joy, Joy, Joy down in my heart. . .where?. . .Down in my heart to stay".
That simple little song from my childhood has been playing in my head since the hanging of that small wooden plaque . . .a gift from God? I believe it was.
