A great way to spice up those summer barbecues and family get-togethers!
These wings have become a Super Bowl tradition, and are quite possibly the best I have ever had!
Ingredients ~
2 lbs skinless chicken wings (about 15 to 20 wings)
1 small can chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon lime juice
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
Pinch of sea salt
Directions ~
In a large bowl, toss chicken wings in extra virgin olive oil
Season with salt and pepper, and set aside
In a food processor (or chef's chopper), combine 2 or 3 chipotle peppers with adobo sauce, unsalted butter, white wine vinegar, lime juice, and chopped cilantro
Preheat barbecue grill to medium heat
Lay wings flat on grill
Baste wings with the chipotle butter as they are cooking
Grill for 20 to 25 minutes
Serve with chilled celery sticks, and your favorite ranch or blue cheese dressing.
