A perfect combination to serve over grilled steak, chicken, or pork. I love the sweetness of the caramelized onion.
Ingredients ~
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 pkg portabella mushrooms, sliced
1 sweet onion, thinly sliced
1/4 teaspoon crushed garlic
1 tablespoon ground black pepper
1/4 cup red or white wine
Directions ~
In a large saute pan, add olive oil and garlic
Set burner on medium to medium-high heat
Add sliced mushrooms and onion
Sprinkle with black pepper
Stir in your favorite wine
Simmer until mushrooms and onion begin to caramelize
